Fall/Winter Fashion – Start At Your Feet

One way to update your Fall/Winter Wardrobe without letting go of some of your favorite staples is to splurge on trendy shoes or boots. Animal prints, earthy floral tones, shearling lined, t-Strap, criss-cross straps and bright colors are all the rage for the cooler days ahead.

Prints on your feet make a fashion statement to any outfit. Animal prints, darker toned florals and embroideries are big hits this year on all types of footwear; boots, flats, pumps and even sneakers.

“Shoes are the quickest way for women to achieve instant metamorphosis.” So go ahead and include a few of these new styles to your shoe racks this season and feel fabulous.”

As the cooler weather approaches, think fur. Fur on the outside or the inside makes no difference. Shearling popping from the top of thigh boots, raccoon fur slides, or fuzzy low boots will not only keep you warm but will add dimension and texture to your overall look.

Shoes with straps continue to be prominent. The girlish Mary Janes of our youth have an updated look with a variety of buckles in a wide range of colors and prints. Also, t-straps and criss cross straps, in any heel height will add style to any outfit, albeit pants, skirts or dresses.

Bright colored pumps and flats spruce up subdued colored pants and skirts and add a wow factor to jeans.

One of the biggest trends this season is the square toe. Be sure to add at least one shoe with a square toe to your shoe collection.

Boots continue to be a mainstay in footwear. The higher the better, and another style making a comeback is the slouchy boot.

Lastly, since 1936, the loafer has always been a staple in most women’s closets. This year’s chunky style sole is as comfortable as the traditional penny loafer but adds some chicness to this refined look.
